Mastering any physical skill, kicking or punting a football, takes effective practice

Practice- “The repetition of an action with the goal of improvement.” It allows athletes to perform with more speed consistency and confidence.

The video library the specialist dictionary.  Every drill is film and a description. Athletes should utilize this library to identify drills to use during “Practice” to perform better during competition.

No step kick-off swing with Band. Focus on staying tall through the swing.  Keep the ankle and leg locked from contact through the hurdle

3 Step air swing kick-off with hurdle step over cones. Focus on staying tall and allowing the momentum of the swing to carry up and over the cones.

Full kick-off air swing to the cone. The kicking leg should swing at the cone and the momentum should carry down field to the kicking foot side of the cone.


No step air swing with hurdle.  Keep the chest tall, leg and ankle locked through the follow through.


3 step air swing with hurdle over cones.  Focus on taking the momentum down field on the follow through.


3 step air swing toward the cone.  Focus on keeping the kicking foot in line with the cone on the follow through.  Finish by running to the kicking side of the cone.
